VenAmérica welcomes new OAS Secretary General

VenAmérica welcomed Albert Ramdin as the new Secretary General of the OAS on March 14, 2025, and said it hopes to advance its technical cooperation agreement with his office on international criminal justice.

Official Statement

VenAmérica, a member of the community of civil associations active within the Organization of American States [@OEA_oficial ], wishes to welcome the new Secretary General, Albert Ramdin [@globe58] , trusting that his leadership will strengthen the OAS’s commitment to the defense of democracy, the promotion of human rights and hemispheric integration. We wish him the greatest success in this new stage and reiterate our willingness to continue collaborating in building a freer, more just and more prosperous continent for all.

VenAmérica, a civil association concerned with the defense of the human, civil and political rights of Venezuelans in Venezuela, in the Americas and around the world, reiterates its wish to continue working hand in hand with the new Secretary General, while renewing our interest in moving forward positively with our technical cooperation agreement with your office in the field of international criminal justice.

Please accept, Honorable Secretary General, our highest expressions of solidarity, support and goodwill for a successful tenure in pursuit of a more united, democratic and free America.
